This year we will focus the spotlight on community events. No one throws a better event or party than the Second Life community! If you’re having an event to celebrate Second Life turning nine, we want to know about it!
Submit your event or party information to the Second Life Destination Guide by emailing editor@lindenlab.com with the subject line “SL9B Event.”Outstanding by its absence: any creation of SL9B sims for builds as in past birthdays, or any mention of effort on LL's part aside from their possible selection of photos of community events shared on Facebook (need we mention the issues about Facebook and SL avatars?) as the "Pic of the Day".
I have to admit that my immediate reaction is: if they don't care, why should I? I will do my best to fight it off.
UPDATE: Some folks do seem to be coming around, judging by the comments on Tateru Nino's blog post on the subject.
